Dear Cousin: Still I am not happy! Please inform me as to whether your grand father Jacob Christlieb (the German) served in the Revolutionary War. His brother my grand father served for a short time in that war. Also whether any of the race served in the War of 1812 the Mexican War, or the War of the Rebellion. I think that I learned that Peregrine was a soldier. Give Rank--Officer or Private and Company, Regiment and date. State if they served in any other war, also state if any of them had been civil officers, or whether were professional, were Lawyers, Doctors, or Ministers ~illegible~
Yours
B.F. Christlieb
Editor's Note: I have made a good-faith attempt at transcribing B.F. Christlieb's handwriting. I couldn't read it all. If anyone reading this can aid in filling in any blanks or can correct any errors, please respond to the webmaster's email address below. Thank you.
